Physical Activity for 2008

• Active Kids Club – Tuesday 4-5pm, Children aged 4-7 years. Physical activity session for local children to learn and enjoy all sports in a safe and controlled environment.
• Connect 3 Project – Childhood Obesity project that runs for 12 weeks. In partnership with Wakefield & District PCT these one hour activity sessions are participated by local young people who are sedentary or have weight problems.
• Healthy Walks Group – Walking group that meets weekly and walks that last one to two hours. The walks are mostly local to Glasshoughton and Castleford. On occasions the walk leader will plan rural walks where the group travels to settings in North Yorkshire etc.
• Karate – See work programme.
• Yoga   – See work programme.
