Staff: Nicola Scott. As well as the sessions at Glasshoughton she runs after school art clubs in a local infant school
Venue: Glasshoughton Centre
Session days and times: Fingerprints children’s art and craft session run on Tuesday mornings 10am till 11am (refreshments provided)
And Fingerprints school holiday clubs run in each school holiday – times and dates vary
Age group: 18 months + during term time and 18m+ to 8 years for the holiday clubs!
Key activities: In the weekly sessions the children and their parents/carers enjoy hour long themed sessions of arts and crafts (themes include dinosaurs, windy days, nursery rhymes etc)
All the sessions are carefully planned and are designed for maximum mess and fun!!
All materials are provided, full instructions are given and examples of each craft are available to copy.
The holiday clubs are similar to the weekly classes but run for 2 hour sessions. Still following a carefully planned theme but with twice the activities (themes have included Mexico, on safari, Halloween etc). The sessions are aimed at 18 month to 8 year olds… but many older children regularly attend and really enjoy the activities. This activity is funded by the 'Big Lottery'
Maximum numbers: 12 for weekly sessions, 20 for holiday clubs
What is special about us?
To be able to inspire a child to create a little masterpiece using a paper plate, a splodge of paint and a couple of googly eyes – marvellous!
Everyone who attends has a wonderful time – there’s no better evidence for this than a group photo at the end of a session with everyone wearing their creations and a big grin– this makes it all worthwhile. If you need a paper plate craft – on any theme – I’m your woman!
