Session days and times:  Training – Thursday 6pm till 7pm  /  Matches - Sunday 
 
Age group: Under 10s 
 
Key activities: Football developement for children born between 1st September1998 and 31st August 1999.

Costs: Weekly costs are £1.00 which helps towards League Fees, County affiliation and cup entry fees.  We also have to make a contribution of £84 for the use of the Astroturf.
Kit and team wear is provided by funds from our tuck shop and parents’ fund raising events.

Maximum numbers/ waiting list: 16 players in our current squad.

We are Glasshoughton Welfare's most successful junior team. Our previous successes are: 

• 2 time winners of the West Riding Summer League UEFA Cup
• Under 9s Charles Rice League Champions after winning every league match and conceding only 9 goals.
• Charles Rice under 9s Invitational Cup Winners
• Runner up in the First Frickley Floodlit Tournament 2008
• Thorpe United Gala Winners 2008
• Ackworth Junior Gala Winners 2007 and 2006 
• Over 50% of our current squad have been selected to attend Leeds United Development Centres in the area to progress their abilities further.

The team made it through to the semi-finals of the Charles Rice League Cup and currently running 4th in the Charles Rice 2 team League.
